A recon Alphard 2.5 Z in our KL stock costs RM239,000 to RM313,000, and the older Alphard 30 Series costs RM158,000 to RM205,000. A new Alphard starts from RM548k per Paultan. Prices change with year, grade and mileage. This guide, part of our best recon cars in Malaysia list, shows how to read them.
I am Matthew from Angsa Emas. The Alphard is the car we stock most, with 130 units of the 2.5 Z alone. Below are the real ranges, what moves the price, and the mistakes I see buyers make.
| Model | Price | In stock | Page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Alphard 2.5 Z | RM239,000 to RM313,000 | 130 | Alphard 2.5 Z |
| Alphard 30 Series | RM158,000 to RM205,000 | 33 | Alphard 30 Series |
| Vellfire 2.4 Z | RM288,000 to RM372,000 | 30 | Vellfire 2.4 Z |
How much is a recon Alphard in Malaysia in 2027?
Our Alphard 2.5 Z is RM239,000 to RM313,000 across 130 cars. The Alphard 30 Series is RM158,000 to RM205,000 across 33 cars. These are stock sheet ranges, not fixed quotes. The final price depends on the exact year, grade, mileage, colour and options on the car you pick.
For context, asking prices seen on listing sites in Oct 2026 for a 2024 Alphard 2.5 Z recon were RM257k to RM276k, and for a 2025 unit RM242k to RM290k. They are other dealers' asking prices, not ours, and not final deals. A wide range like that tells you the grade and options matter more than the year alone.

What makes one recon Alphard cost more than another?
Four things move the price most: model year, auction grade, mileage and the trim and options fitted. A newer year with a grade 4.5 or 5 body and low mileage costs more. A car with a repair history, shown as R or RA on the sheet, should cost less and needs a closer look.
Colour and options also count. Sunroof, leather seats and power sliding doors add value on the used market. Compare cars with the same options, not only the same year, or the comparison is not fair.
What is the difference between the Alphard 2.5 Z and the 30 Series?
The 2.5 Z is the newer generation and costs more. The 30 Series is the previous generation and costs less. If you want the latest design and cabin, choose the 2.5 Z. If you need an Alphard on a smaller budget and accept an older design, the 30 Series is the option.
| Point | Alphard 2.5 Z | Alphard 30 Series |

Is a recon Alphard cheaper than buying a new one?
Yes, by a large amount on the numbers above. A new Alphard starts from RM548k per the Paultan research page. A recon 2.5 Z in our stock is RM239,000 to RM313,000. What you give up is a local new-car warranty and a local service record, so you must inspect the car closely and ask for the warranty terms in writing.
Read the full comparison in recon vs new car in Malaysia. It covers depreciation, warranty and risks in one table.
Which Alphard grade should I buy?
Look for a body grade of 4.5 or 5 and an interior grade of A or B. That means little or no visible damage. Avoid R or RA unless you have a trusted inspector and a clear explanation, since those grades mean the car was repaired after an accident.
Grade is an industry convention, not an official standard, and dealers use it slightly differently. The grade and auction sheet checklist explains each grade and shows how to read the sheet.
Should I buy a petrol or hybrid Alphard?
We list the Alphard 2.5 Z as a single model, so ask us on WhatsApp which units in stock suit you. I will not guess here, because the engine type is printed on each car's auction sheet and the stock changes. Check the sheet for the exact engine before you pay a deposit.
Whichever you choose, ask what the road tax and insurance cost for that engine. Road tax in Malaysia is based on engine capacity, and insurers price by the car's value, so get a quote before you decide.
Does a recon Alphard come with a warranty?
Warranty terms depend on the dealer, and I will not state a length here. Ask any dealer, including us, to put the warranty in writing: what it covers, how long, and who repairs the car. If a seller will not write it down, treat that as a warning.
Imported cars usually have no local service history, so a third-party inspection before you buy is cheap protection.
How do I pay for a recon Alphard?
Most buyers use a bank loan. Recon cars are not registered in Malaysia before you, so banks often treat them like new car loans. Maybank Islamic lists unregistered recon financing at up to 90% of the invoice and up to 108 months. Terms may change, so ask your bank for the current offer.
Always ask for the effective interest rate, because the Hire-Purchase (Amendment) Act 2026 made reducing-balance interest the standard from 1 June 2026. Our recon car loan guide has an example and the questions to ask.
Alphard or Vellfire: which one should I pick?
Pick the Alphard if you want the best value and the widest choice. Pick the Vellfire 2.4 Z if you prefer its styling and accept paying more. Both are family MPVs with a similar cabin idea. Our recon Vellfire price guide has a side by side table.

FAQ
What is the price of a recon Alphard in Malaysia in 2027?
Our Alphard 2.5 Z is RM239,000 to RM313,000 and the Alphard 30 Series is RM158,000 to RM205,000. These are stock sheet ranges. The final price depends on year, grade, mileage and options. Asking prices on listing sites in Oct 2026 for 2024 and 2025 units ran from RM242k to RM290k.
Is a recon Alphard worth buying?
For many families, yes. The price gap to a new Alphard, which starts from RM548k per Paultan, is large. You must accept no local service history and check the car carefully. Buy on grade and inspection, not only on price.
What does grade 4.5 mean on a recon Alphard?
It means the car is slightly used with minimal blemishes on the auction sheet. Grade 5 is near flawless. Grades are an industry convention from dealer and auction practice, so always read the sheet notes and inspect the car yourself.
Which Alphard is cheaper, the 2.5 Z or the 30 Series?
The 30 Series. Our 30 Series is RM158,000 to RM205,000, against RM239,000 to RM313,000 for the 2.5 Z. The 30 Series is the previous generation, so check interior wear and the sliding doors closely.
Can I get a loan for a recon Alphard?
Yes. Banks often treat recon cars like new car loans because they are not registered in Malaysia before you. Maybank Islamic lists up to 90% of the invoice and up to 108 months for unregistered recon cars. Confirm current terms with your bank.
Does a recon Alphard have a warranty?
It depends on the dealer. Ask for the warranty in writing, with what is covered, for how long and who does the repair. Do not accept a verbal promise.
